Dear Mother,
Thinking that I must certainly
have a letter by this time I applied to the
P. O & received yours dated (1) Aug. 29 with Exp.
receipt for trunk (Expressage paid $3.50)
(2) Aug. 30 with check of $25.00 all safe although
it had been in the office 4 days. (3) Aug. 31 from
Alice & you with medicine. I do not know
what the medicine is for but I will take it
Aug. 31 from Mrs Seymour stating that Edward
was coming on Monday he got here last night
& I got the letter today. Your letters to
answer keeps me busy

You did not try the chintz cover on the
trunk for it is about 2 inches too narrow I
can make it fit however.--I replied about
money in another letter--I will need about
$4 per week on an average I will write when
I want money. Money will be perfectly safe
