what I learn - they keep everything secret - I
expect they will have a grand time - Most of
the boys are wealthy, and will spare no money
to have all things right. Three hundred
dollars will not meet their expenses. We middlers
begin to think about trimming the hall,
although we shall not begin until a fortnight
after the 4th. Then we calculate to do it up in
good shape; evergreen is very plenty, and my pains
will be spared to make the best use of it. I received
al etter from Charles Pratt, last week. He is well, and
writes about the same as usual. But I must close
this writing Home has worked like a charm upon
my sickness. I feel better already, think I shall
go to recitation this afternoon.
