have no sound - This solemn time none will
ever forget, many have been led to ask
themselves if they are prepared to die.
By this solemn providence we learn that
this life is short + fleeting - that its
suns will soon be run and we shall
all of us have to render up our account.
The question comes to us, are you prepared?
Have you a hope in the saviour that
will sustain you in the severe hour
of dissolving nature? Are you living in
such a manner that when death comes
you can look back on a life well spent
one over which you could rejoice? These
are solemn questions and should all be
answered in a right manner. Why should
any be so foolish as not to attend to their
eternal interests? O that we might all
be prepared that when death shall come
we may be prepared to go with him -
We are prospering in our studies very well,
+ as usual in our diet doing first rate - When
shall I send the trunk home again? As
we have had to pay our rent in advance
it leaves me with but little money, however
I think five dollars will carry me through
