My Dear Father
I now take up my pen to write you a few
lines. I am just begining [beginning] the Hachenburg Greek Grammar
after having been through the Glousester [Gloucester]. My Caesar comes
on well I am at the 34 section of the [5?]th Book I go 5 sections
at a lesson. When I was in Providence Sarah & myself
went to hear the musical prdigies [prodigies] play there was one
boy of 10 who is organist in Charleston Mass and another 7
& 2 girls one only 3 years old.
One of the boys here whose name is Gold had a letter
from his father with forty dollars it is lost and is supposed to
[be?] taken out by some of the sholars [scholars] the postmasters book of letters
that come says that it come [came] to the postoffice & because I
that money you sent me to pay my bills Mr Adams called
me up and I told him how I go the money how I paid my
bills and he says he is going to write to you to see if you
did send me any. The letter come [came] on the monday after
the vacation commenced and was taken out the next
day and as I went away the teusday [Tuesday] before it came
I could not have taken it. It is not my character
that makes mr adams suspicious but my having
that money. I hope you will write to him and tell him
that you did send the money to me.
Your affect [affectionate] & Dutiful son
