After the work was done all
round, we went up to Lizzie's
room with our work as Birdie
was out for the day. O, I
forgot to tell about last night
Birdie slept with Lizzianna,
leaving Lizzie alone, and she
wanted to come down here
for the night most awfully
Well, Tilly rang the retiring
bells, and after the warning
we put out our light and
waited to talk with Lizzie
when she came to open her
window. While we were daring
her to come down for the
night, Tilly came to the hall
window, and we had a lively
time in the beautiful moon
light. Miss Palmer was in
Mrs. Watson's room, and yet
we talked quite long and
loud, until Tilly started to ring
the tardy, when we all hopped
into bed. Lizzie did not
dare to come down until
morning, when she got so cold
