Since ordination I hope she did not yet beat out I thought she looked quite old that morning I came away. I should be glad if you would write me whether your visit at Capt. P. & whether they look {illegible} towards you or not. Give my love to Hannah & tell her my head aked too bad to write her. My dear Brother & Sister,

I congratulate you on the birth of your little son, I hope you will take a great deal of comfort in him. Why did not you let me know sooner; of your happiness, that I might rejoice with you ? I am shure if you had have known how anxious I was, you would not have kept me in ignorance so long I did not fail to dream of you almost every night,. How do you seem my dear sister, to be a mother? does it seem like your child? I wish I could see you with it, but you see I am disapointed I had made very great dependence upon visiting you this Spring, I could hardly give it up, but we must all expect disappointments in this life I hope I shall not make myself very unhappy.

I believe if it was not for the expectation that Mr. Abbot will bring me word that you my dear brother & sister & my father & mother, or some of you will come up that I could hardly have the Disappointment but I am sure that some of all my friends must come up. Please to give my duty to my father & mother; tell my mother not to give herself any uneasiness bought me tell her I have been very well since Mr Abbot went away. tell her I have got the best of sisters. here who is very kind & would do any thing to make me happy. she Desires her love to you. Why don't you write oftener? & let me know the news it is now six months since ether of you have written. I thank you my dear sister for the letter you wrote last fall I should have answered before if my eyes had been as strong as common you know I made the attempt last fall but I believe

Is Phebe's neck quite well? how has she been since the sore was taken off Mr Abbot wrote from Wilton that she had returned to Portland, I hope he will tell me all about you all when he come back How is Nabby? is she as well as before she was sick has she any more children. Please to give my love to brother Ben & Abiel & there wifes, if you see them, tell them how much I want to see them tell Abiel & wife they were here but a day or too & that must not hinder them from coming now as I do not go down.
