A cool windy day.

Ben and Owen cleared
off place for a barn that
they want to build this
year. I went to Charles
this morning. I stayed
nearly all day. Walked home.
I come by Kates & Mollies
and Carries. Josie had
milked and had supper
ready when I got home.

I was glad I had
nothing to do -- I was tired.
I finished my first sock
that I knit for the soldiers
and commenced another
one. Will be glad when I
am done them.
