A good day. Ben & Jim and Owen
cut corn all day. Josie & I peeled
some peaches and made preserves.
We had snaps for dinner, the last
that we will get this year without
it rains very soon.

Josie sewed some this evening
and gathered some peas. We have
finished shelling them tonight.
I went and dug some potatoes
& washed them.

Mr John Baily and Miss Angle
was here this evening. They were
going a round a bout the schools.
They did not see Ben.

Edna got my book & pen and ink
for me tonight.
