A good day. Cloudy all
day. Rain tonight. We need
rain very bad. Jim & Ben
finished cutting corn today.
Josie washed. I wanted to
help her but did not do much.
Mabel was so cross and did
not want to stay at the
wash house. I come to the house
and churned. Josie helped
get dinner. I sewed on
my quilt all evening and
tonight. The children went
to school. This evening
Josie went to Marvins.
She said Carrie was shelling
butter beans and she helped
her while she was there.

The tobacco markets opened to
day. We heard that the tobacco
solde very low. I was in hopes
that good would sell well.
Ben & Jim has not got any good.
