LATHUY 1 New Year's Day. No.Parades. Concert by 4th Cdn.Div Concert Party "Babes of Bourlon Wood" RSC. in Harmony Hall, JODOIGNE in evening. Battalion dance after. Weather fine.

" 2 Weather fine and cold. Battalion in Training & Educational Work. Preparing for move. RSC Billeting party moved off at 09.00 hours.

" 3 Battalion fell in at 08.00 hours and marched to BIEZ and arrived at 12.00 hours. During march Battalion was inspected by Major-General Sir David Watson, KCB, CMG. and congratulated RSC on appearance and marching. Orders received to resume march on January 4th. Weather dull with occational showers. B.H.Q. located in Estaminet on Main Street, BIEZ, "A" & "B" Companies were billeted in BIEZ and "C" & "D" Companies in HEXES.

BIEZ 4 Battalion fell in at 07.30 a.m. and moved off at 08.00 hours arriving at BOURGEOIS at 12.50 RSC hours. B.H.Q. located at 26 Rue de Haute. Weather unsettled.

BOURGEOIS 5 Roman Catholic Church Parade to village church at 09.30 hours. Weather dull. RSC

" 6 Battalion in Training, and Educational Work. Weather fine. RSC

" 7 Battalion in Training and Educational Work. Weather fair. RSC

" 8 Commencement of re-organization of Bugle Band. Kit Inspection. Weather dull & raining. RSC

" 9 Route March - Battle Order. Weather fair. RSC

" 10 Battalion in Training. Bath Parade. Educational Work. Weather fair and cold. RSC

" 11 Battalion in Training. N.C.O.'s drill class. Transport competition at 2.00 p.m. RSC Half Holiday. Battalion dance in evening.

" 12 Protestant Church Service in Dance Hall BOURGEOIS at 09.00 hours. R.C. Service in village RSC Church, Bourgeois at 09.30 hours. Weather unsettled.

" 16 Battalion in Training. Weather dull. RSC

" 17 Battalion Route March - Dress Battle Order. Raining in afternoon. RSC

" 18 Battalion in Training. Lecture by Lieut.Col. A.D.Cameron, MC on "HORSES". Half Holiday in afternoon. RSC

" 19 Protestant Church Service held at 09.00 in Dance Hall in Bourgeois. Roman Catholic Church RSC Parade to Parish Church GENVAL at 10.30 hours. Weather dull and cold.

" 20 Bath Parade for Battalion. Companies training during time not allotted for bathing. Weather fine. RSC

" 21 Battalion Route March. Dress - Battle Order. Specialist & Educational Training in RSC afternoon. Equitation for Officers. Weather fair with rain towards evening.

" 22 Battalion in Training. Half holiday in afternoon. Sports. Boxing at 7.00 p.m. RSC Weather wet.

" 23 Battalion in Training. Weather fine. RSC

" 24 Battalion Route March. Dress - P.T. Dress. Education and Specialist Training. Tactical Exercises for Officers. N.C.O.'s dance in evening. Snow. RSC

" 25 Battalion in Training. Half Holiday. Battalion dance in evening. Weather cold and RSC snowing.

BOURGEOIS 26 Protestant Church Service held in Dance Hall, Bourgeois at 09.00 hours. Roman Catholic Church parade was held at village church, Bourgeois at 09.30 hours. Fair. RSC

" 27 Battalion in training. Lecture given at 14.00 hours by Lieut. H.C.Crowell on "Soldiers' RSC Land Settlement". Weather fine.

" 28 Battalion Route March. Battle Order. Educational Classes, H.C.O.'s drill class and RSC training in guard drill carried out in afternoon. Weather dull with snow.

" 29 Battalion in Training. Half holiday. Battalion finals - Boxing held at 8.30 p.m. RSC Weather dull and cold.

" 30 Bath Parade. Companies carried on with training during time not allotted for bathing RSC Weather fair and very cold.

" 31 Platoon competition commenced at 09.30 hours. Platoon Drill demonstration was given at RSC 14.00 hours on the Grand Place, Bourgeois. A demonstration was given by Captain Robertson at 14.30 hours at transport park, Bourgeois. Weather dull with light snow falls.
