DEC 1. Battalion started from Beauvalat 9.25am proceding to Froheu le Grand & were billeted for the night at Villers d` hospital. DEC 2. Left Villers d` hospital at 9.45 am arriving at Guinecourt and Hericourt at 4 pm. Billeted. DEC 3. Left Guinecourt & Hericourt at 9.55am arriving at Dieval at 3.30 pm. Billeted DEC 4. Left Dieval at 9.45 am for Poruay arriving at 2 pm. Battalion billeted . DEC 5. Batln in Poruay resting & being reorganised. Major part of battion paid by paymaster in the late after noon and evening. DEC 6. Balance of battalion paid . Company drill, {brigade} staff paid in the afternoon at {Riuty}, Reinforce ment of ten officers arrived. DEC 7. Routine work. Fine weather. Number of aeroplanes seen. DEC 8. Routine work. DEC 9. Routine in foreuoou. Reinforcemants of one hundred and fortyeight O.R.arrived. Oaraded before paymaster

Brouay 1916 Dec 9th cont Batt paraded at 2 pm to complimentary concert at "Very Lights" Theatre. Very heavy rain. RBO'S

do 10 Church Parade at 10.30 am. Large mail. RBO'S

do 11 Batt at routine work. Preparation for inspection by General Byng. Fine weather. Large mail. RBO'S

do 12 Parade at 9 o'clock am. for inspection. Very wet. Heavy snow fall in forenoon. Inspection postponed. RBO'S

do 13 Batt at routine work. Part of Battalion paid by Paymaster at night. Colonel returned to Battalion. RBO'S

do 14 Inspection of Battalion by General Bying in forenoon Brigade staff paid by Paymaster in afternoon. RBO'S Balance of Battalion paid by Paymaster in afternoon. RBO'S

do 15 Battalion at routine work. Good weather. RBO'S

do 16 Battalion at routine work in forenoon. Cold RBO'S
