BOVELLES 1918 Aug 6 cont
This, however, was only for a short distance. The
long march was under ideal conditions of weather,
with bright starlight & fine weather. RBO'S

BOVES WOOD 7 Arrived in BOVES Wood about 2 am _ After
orders and instructions had been fully explained
to the Officers & men, the Batt. marched out at
9 pm. for the Assembly Point, which was in the
vicinity of GENTELLES WOOD.. All ranks showed
great enthusiasm at the new prospect of having
a smash at the Huns and of proving their
adaptability for open warfare. On arrival at
the Assembly Point, the Batt. bivouaced in the
fields, behind the cemetery and West of the vil-
lage o Gentelles
