MERVILLE and BUSNES 1917 Nov 18 cont.

joined him in the pool. As an early move was
on the Orders for the following morn, beds were occu-
pied at very early hour. Today is Somme anniversary. RBO'S

BUSNES 19 In accordance wtih Oper. Order 109. The Battalion
moved out early this morning from their billets at
BUSNES and waited at the junction of the side road
and main road until their position in the order of
march came opposite, when the proper
place was taken. The weather was cold as on
the previous days, but suitable for marching. The
route pursued proed very interesting. The boys
had an opportunity of seeing how largely the
canal systems of France assist in the burning
question of Transportation. Large manufactories
