Front Line 1917 Aug 10 cont.
of the enemy were observed at N.33.a.5.5. supposed to be
a day post. Small parties of the enemy were seen during
the day coming and going to N.33.a.6.8. At 6 am
a heavy explosion was observed at N.21.d. At 7.30 pm
one of our observation balloons was lost throught
cable being cut by hostile fire. RBO'S

do 11 Batt. in Front Line as per disposition of the 10th.
Summary of Intelligence as from 9 pm Aug 10th to 9 pm
August 11th 1917.

Our artillery activity has been below normal during the
past twenty four hours. Some counter-battery work has
been engaged in with intermittent shelling of enemy
front line system. Harassing fire throughout the night
on enemy communications was less than usual. The
slag heap at N.20.d.35.50 was again heaviy bom-
barded, some rounds falling short into the water
