Front line June 28th
Last evening and this morning our aeroplanes were active in
patrolling ours and enemy lines.

Enemy, artillery active. Shells landing in vicinity of PARTRIDGE
trench, LA COULOTTE support line. KIRK trench QUEBEC
trench, and C.T.'s in this area.

No machine gun fire except during our advance this A.M.
No Trench Mortars or Sniping.
Aeroplane over our lines at N.31.c. and d. 4 pm yesterday and
two over 5 A.M. to-day at N.31.c. and d.
Warm during day. Very heavy rain in evening.

Front line 29thUnder cover of an Artillery barage two advanced posts were es-
tablished at 7.30 pm last night in AVION at N32.B.3.3. and
3.5., with support posts at n.32.C.9.9. AND a.9.9. No enemy
parties were encountered. Details of this operation are covered
in report on operation. Our artillery has been less active than
preceding day, but fire has been concentrated from
