19th Field Coy, will detail one officer and as many other rank as possible to 38th, 72nd, and 78th Battalions to assist in the work of consolidation. The officer and three other ranks to report to respective Battalion H.Q. 10 A.M. on “X” day
in order to become fully conversant with the Battn. plans, positions of Battn. Dumps, etc. The balance will report at respective Battn. H.Q. by 2 P.M. on “Z” day. These sappers
will be used by O.C’s Battns., to assist in the construction and
wiring of String Points No. A1, A2, A3, A4, B13, B15 and
B.17. Infantry will do the wiring under sapper supervision.
They will also tape out and supervise the digging and the trench
matting of No.2 and 3 C.T’s shown on attached Map “B” (see
consolidation)

(k). “E” SPECIAL COY. R.E will operate under Divisional
arrangements. About [8?] projectors will be placed on this Brigade
Front. They will file [8?] Gas Shell on “Y” day and during the night of “Y”/”Z”.

TARGETS. CLUTCH, CYRUS, BABY, CLUCK, CLAUDE, CLUNY,
CLUCAS, SOUTH WESTERN end of GIVERNY, and, SUNKEN ROAD about
S.15 b 5 ½ .S.m also on portions of CYA_NIDE and CYCILIST which
can be reached. Also on Craters Nos. 1 to 7, and in rear of
them.

(i). NO.4 SPECIAL COY. R.E
“N” SECTION
This section will place 15 mortars in position in
the 10th Brigade Area, those guns to fire Gas Bombs several
days previous to the Operation on the PIMPLE and in that
vicinity.

During the Operation they will use Gas Bombs and
Smoke Bombs to create a screen on the PIMPLE and the Southen
slopes of HILL 120, from about S.9 to S.9.B.2.2 if weather favourable.

LIEUT. VERNON’S SECTION (Strength 2 officer, 48 other ranks and eight guns)
4 guns to be placed in vicinity of BNARGATE and INTERNATIONAL. These guns will
Fire Gas Bombs and Thermite for several days previous to the
Operation on CLUTCH, CLUCKM CYRUS, BABY, and CYCLONE from its
Junction with BABY to the NORTH EAST. Also on and in rear of
Craters Nos.1 to 7. CLAUDE also to be fired on is
possible. This Section will finish its firing on "Y/Z" night
and will withdraw to the WEST side of ZOUAVE VALLEY.

4. ARTILLERY.
Barrage tracings have been issued to all Companies.

POINTS REGARDING BARRAGES.
1. All Leaders will see that their Unit keeps close to the
Barrage, otherwise, its value may be lost.

2. Three forms of Barrage will be used.
(a) STANDING. On localities and trenches from which
the enemy may bring fire to bear on the captured area.
(b) MOVING. As shown on the maps issued.

One Gun per 16 yards being employed so if oru troops
keep close to it there should be little difficulty in securing
the various objectives.
