Stokes gun. Snipers fired six shots at German [corse] nucince
[here] Trench near [spob.] N.24 A.8.8. Enemy quite and working
on parapet repairs near N 24 A 8.8 -- RBO'S

-- 8th -- -- Artillery active - bombing nil . Machine guns quiet. Snipers
active. Enemys artillery was active at night otherwise
he preserved a passive attitude, attending principally
to works on parapets -- RBO'S

-- 9th -- -- Our artillery continually active. other departments quiet
The enemys artillery devoted their attention to our commun
cation trenches. Other departments quiet. -- RBO'S

-- 10th -- -- Our artillery active also machine guns & snipers.
Enemy generally quiet. -- RBO'S

-- 11th -- -- Our artillery cut enemy wire along our front and machine
guns were also devoting their attention to the same [end]. Ours
were firing with telling effect on the enemy.
The enemy retaliated by active sniping & shelling the
Batt. H.2. in the Chateau. The latter causing several casualties
including the Brigadier General. -- RBO'S
