salaries be accepted and adopted [inserted] which motion was duly seconded [end inserted]. Mr Foster moved
as an amendment of said motion that the name of
Peter Mc Cormick be substituted in place of the name of
of Charles R Bean for Engineer and Janitor which
motion was duly seconded, and a vote being taken on
said amendment the same was lost ,and the original
motion to [inserted] the effect [end inserted] that the report of the Committee on teachers
and salaries was adopted by the Board.
On motion of
[inserted] Auditors
Bond [end inserted] Mr Foster duly seconded, the bond of LM Jewett
as Auditor of the O.U was approved and accepted by
the Board.
[inserted] Emmerson
prize fund [end inserted] On motion of M. Jewett the loaning
of the Emmerson prize poem fund was referred to a
committee consisting of E. J. Jones and I M Foster.
[inserted] Ladeis
Hall [end inserted] Mr Davidson of the Committee to report as to the
advisability of a change of matron of the
Ladies Hall reported that the Committee were of
the opinion that the Committee on the Ladies
Hall should consider the advisability of a change being
made in August.
