2. That his decease is not only a great and irrparable
loss to the University itself , but is also felt by each of us,
lately associated with [inserted] him on [end inserted] this Board, to be a distinct personal
loss.
3. That his kind genial disposition, his [?rare?]
grace of manners , his strength and [?briliancy?] of
intellect, his broad culture,and his splendid gifts of
oratory, marked him as a young man of great
promise,and as a modle of the true gentlman
and scholar.

of W. E.
Bundy [end inserted] 4. That by the eminence he attained in his
honorable distinctions he won in both civil and
military life, he has acheived a name for himself
which will never cease to be cherished by us as
an ornament to the University and as entitled
to a place high on the roll of its most honored
sons.
5. That we tender the bereaved companion and
son of the deceaced our heartfelt sympathy in the great
afflicting that has befallen them in the loss of a
beloved husband and father.
6. That these resolutions be spread upon the minutes
of the Board, and that a copy of the same be mailed
by the Secretary to Mrs William. E. Bundy at Cincinnati
Ohio.

adopted said resolutions were unanimously
adopted by a rising vote.
On motion duly seconded and adopted Messrs
Boyce - Lene- Fenton. Hamblin, Wood, and Foraker
were excused for non attendance at this meeting
