Both of these publications were brought
together, reedited + combined c Adam
Lonitzer's own contributions in 1557 as
the Kreutterbuch (Nissen #1227). Lonitzer
became Egenolph's son-in-law in 1553 +
thus became one of the heirs to teh Egeholph
publishing hourse a highly valuable 16th C
property. In fact, from its 1st appearance
in 1533 as Rosslin's herbal the Kruetterbuch
enjoyed good sales + repeated printings until
1783, a run of 250 years.

elder -- E. Roslin became apothecary of Freiburg in 1493.
In 1506 he was elected physician to the city of
Frankfurt + in 1508 he entered the servia at
the court of Katherine, Duchess of Saxony + Brunswick.
It is to her he dedicated his "Der Schwangein Frawen
und Hebammer Rosegarten" 1st published at
Strassburg in 1513. (1st vernacular + the 1st
illustrated manual of midwifery).
