-- The text follows the classic King James or "Authorized" version. The type is Galliand, designed by Matthew Carter, + the type pages are composed + printed by Bradley Hutchinson of Digital Letterpress in Austin, Texas. - Approximately 235 engraved illustrations. - 13 point size c 4 points leading. - primary edition -- 400 copies. The Zakall paper was specially manufactured for this project + bears the unique watermark of the Pennyroyal Caxton Press. The 1st ed. of the Bible in the 20th c. c both the Old + New Testaments illustrated by a single artist.

412 leaves, the 1st blank. 2 columns, 4 in resigter 1 in the preface. 5a: 70 lines of commentary surrounding the text, 374 x 224 mm. A col. of 65 lines of text on 57^a measures 345 mm. Prefatory letter of J. Guarinus to Vitus Peucher on 3b Capital spaces, c guide letters in text. Types 107G, text, headings in table of rubrics (GW 103/106 G) Large text type. I c thorn to left, double hyphen Substituted for 103 G in 1476. 98R comm., rubrics in text + c. (P1) med. text type. A c small serif to left at the top, straight shanked M, single Qu apparently of 2 kinds, h c curled tail level c line, i c slanting stroke for dot. Single hyphen. Capitals from 103G (P2) are freely used c this type. In use throughout.

*Apud Sanctum Marcus (Vitus Pecher (Anonymous Preso) The press established 'apud Sanctum Marcus,' appresso al Palatio di San Marco' was most active in the years 1475+6 but produced at least 1 dated book in each of the years 1477 + 1478.

* ? - a group of printers headed by Vitus Puecher. Vitus Puecher was in Rome in 1471 (See Gutenberg Jahrbuch 1956 pp 75-79 folio I4 my leaf rubricated in red on recto de iur imui De legationibus. Rxica de legetioni The 1st book produced by this rare press is dated April 13, 1475. The press was most activein the years 1475 & 6. The last book was dated 1478.

Digest - has been called the most important law book the world has ever seen. For the Digest comprises not actual laws which must be constantly adjusted to changing conditions, but legal principles which have met the test of time. Just in ian's codification of Roman law preserved for the West Rome's most precious legacy from a glorious past. The Digest was published Dec. 16, 533. Digesta. I Digestum vetus (I-XXIV 2) See #378 II Infortiatum (XXIV-3XXXVIII) *III Digestum hovum (XXXIX-L). Some 40 jurists supplied the material for the Digest but in very unequal degre. About 1/3 of the whole is taken from 41 Ulpian, 1/2 from 41 Ulpian and Paul together, 2/3 from the 5 jurists who occupy the place of honour in the Law of Citations. The great majority belong to what is called the classical age of Roman jurisprudence (beginning of the Empire to middle of 3rd C)
