The Type was designed by Amighi + cut by Lautizio
Perugino, identified as Lautizio di Bartolomeo de 'Rotelli'
the goldsmith praised by Cellini. About [inserted] mii in this edition differs only in orthography [end inserted]
dozen works wer printed by Amighi in partnership with a Perugino.
Trissino's letters E + CO for open e+o.
urges that a distinciton be made between i + w as
consonants + i + u as vowels by the consistant use of
the letters j + v for the consonants.
Printed in Lodovico degli Amighi's 1st Italic, the font
first used by Amighi at Rome in 1524. For the purpose
of pritning Trissino's texts, Amighi added to his italic,
the new characters proposed by Trissino for the Italian
alphabet. According to Tinto, Trissino supplied Janicolo with the
metrices for the complete Amighi font including his special
characters. The several Trissino works printed by Janicolo in folio
in 1529 are frequently found bound together.

which Amighi had printed twice in 1524.
