Dear Sir,

On 6th June '44 I was a
member of 233 Fd. Coy. RE of 69 Bde, 50
Northumbrian Division and attached to the
7 Bn. Green Howards. As reserve Bn. the
7th G.H. and our platoon (No 1) landed at
H + 45 mins. at La Riviere. On that day
we advanced from the beach through
Crepon to the St. Leger area. Later we
went through Bayeax and Jerusalem crossroads
to Lagrange, before the breakout through
Villers Bocage and Aunay.
