Dear Miss Ward:

Reference is made to a history of D-Day (6 June 1944)
being prepared by Cornelius Ryan in connection with the 15th
Anniversary of the event in 1959.

As an assigned member of the 6lst Medical Battalion, 5th
Engineer Special Brigade, we became various task forces of the
1st Infantry Division.

As a member of the second assault wave of Task Force "O”,
I vaguely remember landing on Omaha Beach during the hours
6:00 A.M. - 9:00 A.M. on 6 June 1944.
