then float & burn for about 15 minutes
lighting up the area for miles that
allways put us in action again. We
would cast off from the "Augusta"
& high tail it to the glare & try to
sink it with small arms & fiftey
caliber mach. guns
Our probblems were many in the earlier
days I would say the first week General
Bradley had us in so close so many times to
gain better visual inspection of his troops
all though we were the onley PT Boats
equipped with Fathomer's recoreinding
Fathoms & feet directly under us as we
onley had 4 1/2 to 5 feet Draw, we ran
aground 4 even 5 times
We lost our own men over the side
in the storms & ever body that rode with
us said they certainly would want to
be on one of these things.
Our lines would break when we tried
to get passenger off & own different ships
& it seemd the sailors on the larger ships
just could hit us when the thrue us
lines & we would finalley have to get
