Terrific pain
I am a poor Episcopalian, a Catholic priest
helped me when I reported to my Div. Commander- Gen. Barton
at the first aid station

Do you remember seeing or hearing anything that seems funny now,
though it did not, of course, seem amusing at the time?
Yes--
(M/R-- about giving Lt. Col. Jim Luckett
a pistol that was too heavy to carry.

Do you recall any incident, sad or heroic, or simply memorable, which struck
you more than anything else?
Yes-- heavily burdened Inf. crossing
flooded area.
