In times of great crisis, people generally show either great ingenuity or
self-reliance; others do incredibly stupid things. Do you remember any

in the weapons platoons who had the heavier weapons to
carry plus ammunition appropriate for themselves, horses
horse & cart, wheel barrows, baby buggies, bicycles, motercycles
and even a treaded vehicle somewhat like a motercycle.
"Any way to transport the burden without his own brawn.

Where were you at midnight on June 5, 1944?
In the marshalling area
at greenham common, england

Where were you at midnight on june 6, 1944?
somewhere in vicinity of

Do you know of anybody else who landed within those 24 hours (midnight
June 5 to midnight June 6 ) as infantry, glider or airborne troops, or
who took part in the air and sea operations, whom we should write to?

I would suggest you contact harrison D.
Summers of Rivesville, West Virginia.
