Major William R. Callahan Hq., 2nd Tng Regt Fort Jackson, South Carolina

Dear Major Callahan:

Many thanks for writing us so promptly regarding our r[s]earch for D-Day veterans.

We are very interested in your personal experience. I know Mr.Ryan will want to interview you when he gets into South Carolina. You must realize that at this point there are over a thousand people who must be interviewed in France, Germany, England, and the United States at this time. There are more than a half dozen people doing the interview.

However, Mr.Ryan will be interviewing specific people, and I am sure he will want to talk to you. In the meantime until a date is set for an interview, will you be good enough to fill out the attached questionnaire and return it to me as soon as possible.

Yours very sincerely,

Frances Ward Research Department
