I am the widow of Jackson Smith aforesaid was married to him in Covington Ky at the time stated in Marriage Certificate in file. My name was Ary Robison before I married Jack Smith that is the reason my name appears as it does in Certificate. I came to Xenia O right after I was married in 1871. Jack Smith my husband had been in Xenia O from his discharge until we married. he came to Coviington Ky and married me in in 1871 and then we came to Xenia O. I was never married to any one but Jack Smith did not have any other doctor but Dr. Jones of Xenia O whose evidence is now in file. I knew he got potent medicine at drug stores here in Xenia O but don't know of his going to any other doctor but Jones . Dr. Jones says he cant make any other affidavit than that [] on file. I herewith send the evidence of two more comrads and neighbors of Jack Smith that know of his condition from the time he took sick in Service until his death they were intimate with soldier from discharge until his death towit - Richard Lamb and James Glass. I am still the widow of Jack Smith not having remarried since his death.

I have not remarried since his death. I and said Jackson Smith were first married for several years before he enlisted (slave marriage) in Bourbon Co. Ky in the country about 4 miles from Middletown in said County I belong to Alfred Wermal, Jackson Smith belonged to John Hedges, an old man in same neighborhood. Neither my husband or I had been previously married. A short time before he enlisted he was sold to a family in Boone Co Ky by name of Smith so that I did not see my husband for some time before he enlisted and for some time after the war when we met in Covington Ky 1871. My late husband never lived and cohabited with another woman. Since his death I have lived in Xenia O all the time since his death and most of this time I had lived and worked with Charles Trader here in Xenia Ohio I tried to get the evidence of Dr. [Cain] but cant hear from him.
