Dearest Mother,

Here I am in Garmisch again.
Certainly is beautiful all blanketed
in a foot of soft snow! Can't
make up my mind which time it
was prettiest - last August or
now! It certainly is breath taking
now!

We got here Thursday Night. Friday
morning I ice skated all morning
long. Yes - I actually did! And
I didn't fall down once - of
course I was not so graceful
as Sonja Heine either!! But it
came to me much easier than
roller skates did!

Then Friday afternoon we had
a chance to ride over to Innsbruck,
Austria. About forty miles from
here. Certainly was a beautiful
drive and Innsbruck is a
nice town. Besides all that I
added another country to my list!

Today, Saturday has really
been busy. All morning I skiied!
