Dearest Mother,

Not very much news today. Still just "sweating
out" every day, until the day 'll be able to come home.
Hope that day isn't very far away.

Enclosed you will find some negatives. Some large
ones and some smaller ones that I made with my camera.
Here's what I'd like you to do. Have one print each
made from the larger ones and keep the prints, but
send the negatives back to Johnnie, whose address is:

Mr. John L. Ferrari
635 Dorchester Ave
South Boston, 27, Mass.

Then have two prints made of the two smaller ones. Keep
one set of prints for my collection and send a set to:

Mr. J. B. Emmett
747 McCaslin St
Pittsburgh, 17, Pa.

Wish the weather would get straighten out. One
day its hot and the next day is freezing cold! That's
why so many of us have colds, I guess. How's she
coming back home?

And how is Tommy? Has he showed any improvement
since he has been in Duke? Sure hope so.

Went to see "Colonel Effington's Raid" last night.
Charles Coburn and Joan Bennett played in it. It was
fair, but not as good as I expected. Don't think he
will ever make one to compare with "The More The Merrier"
or "Standing Room Only". They were terrific.

Still havent heard from Johnnie since he got home.
In today's mail I received only one letter. Yours!
Just so one from you comes through each day I'm satis-
fied. But the mail situation lately has been awful.

Did Oliva receive her picture like the one I sent
Goldie yet? Sure hope she did.

Lot's of love to everybody. Especially you and
Mac and my sweet Mama.

Love Ya',
