1694 Wills &
The fifth day of July 1694 I Willm Lawrence living in North
Carolina in Pequimons River being Sick and weake of body yett Sound in
Sence and memory This being my last will and testament I give and be=
bequeath unto my daughter Jane Lawrence two young Cows and Calves &
one ewe with all their female increase and my plantacon as far as
the brige branch the Southwest part of my plantacon after the decease
of my wife Margrett Lawrence and I give and bequeath unto my daugh
=ter Rachell [??] Lawrence two young Cowes and calves and their fe=
male increase and the first ewe lamb the first that is [falne?] with all
her female increase and the Northeast part of my land as the
Bridge branch after the decease of my wife Margrett Lawrence And
I give and bequeath unto my two daughters Jane and Rachell one young
Mare with all her increase and their Increase to be equally devided be
tween them both when they are Sixteen yeares old and if so be that
ear a one of my Daughters Should dye Then her part falleth to her
Sister And it is in my wifs choice whether Sheee would buy a young
mare for my two Daughters to run between them or to change my
young horse for a ^(young) mare for them And I give and bequeath unto my
cousin Rachell Snelling one Cow calf with all her female increase
and I give and bequeath unto my Cousin Wm Lawrence one Cow
calfe with all her female increase I give and bequeath unto my dearly
beloved wife Margret Lawrence my house and Plantacon and wood
=land ground belonging to it and all things belonging thereunto my
Plantacon dureing her Lifetime and then to fall to ye eight heirs and
give and bequeath unto my beloved wife all my hogs and Cattle and
horses male and female after all my legacys is paid and my wife is to
pay all debts and to receive all Debts And I doe appoint my brothers
Israel Snelling and John Lawrence to be executors or overseers to prove
my will and to See that this my Will is fulfilled according as it is men
tioned therin after my decease and then my Legacys to be paid as
soon as they can conveniently and their mark to be altered and
Recorded This being Witnessed and Sealed in the presence of us [unclear]

written is ye last will & testamt. of Wm Lawrence decd. we doe authorise the Exe
cutors therin [deleted] appointed to enter in & upon the Goods & Chattells & personal
estate of ye sd Wm Lawrence wherever in this Governt. to be found and a true
ventory therof to returne into the Secretarys Office and to dispose of ye sd
as by ye sd Will is Appointed Given under our hands and Seale of the County
