Major in certain trades are required to take at least two quaters in certain other
trades that are closely allied; example, auto machanic majors are required to take
courses in carpentry.

A major student in any trade may elect courses in any other trade that may be considered profitable to his major interest by him anf his advisors.

Part-time classes are organized to meet in the evening for people who work during the day and want to improve their efficiency in a particular trade or for those who want to tale preparatory pre-employmeny training in a trade of their choice.

The Technical Institute also serves the needs of the other departments of the college by offering elective shop courses related to other major fields.
1. The students from the school of arts and science who are required to take a vocational course, take six hours a week in the shop of their choice, for two quarters.

2. The industrial arts students elect courses in the various shops for six hours per week for two quarters.

Any student from any other department of the college may elect shop courses for two quarters.

Shop Equipment and Shop Arrangement:
Effort is put forth to make shop training parallel working conditions in industry as nearly as possible. Shop equipment is selected and shops are arranged with that in mind.
