I am noticing the word "provenzia" ,mostly, has a correction made from the "z" to an "s". I used the "z" because on Image 100 the scribe wrote the word out using a "z" so I made a note of that and am using that as the pattern to continue with. In my humble opinion we should follow something like that. Or?

Hi David,
Thank you for the great question. Most of the corrections to provincia as an abbreviation, on my end, were to correct the "e" to "i". If the scribe usually writes out the full word as provinzia, you are right to expand as such. If they usually write provinsia, same. The difficulty is when they do both, which may be the case. Just be consistent in your expansion. Do make sure to have an i in provincia, provinzia, or provinsia. I hope this helps! Thanks,

Aaron

Aaron, thank you for the response. I am familiar with my typo regarding the e and the i. That should be corrected. The other may not be you doing the correcting. I have done almost 50 pages of this batch and the ones I refer to are all abbreviated versions for the word provinzia. I just thought I would let whomever does the corrections for this batch know where I got that spelling from. Take care.

Native Bound Unbound Project

Hi David, thanks for the follow up and clarification. In your experience with this scribe, is what you saw on IMG 100 provinzia with a z the most common expansion of the word or does the scribe vary how they write it? Hopefully they are consistent, but you know how these go. Thanks for all the great work,

Aaron

Aaron, in my experience I have not see the word written out after IMG 100, however there are images done by others. This batch was actually started before I jumped in.
