Thought I might drop by occasionally. I like mariners. I have mariner ancestors. My only concern is that we are doing work that has already been done. On the other hand it is nice to have Ancestry for back-up. Did you see what happened to 43760 on the previous page? Sad.

Now I want to know why he shot himself. I think our quality of transcription is better, I just hope it is not simply for indexing purposes and the whole image will be available free online.

You aren't duplicating work, as I mentioned ours is a more complete record. Ours are registers not application forms. Also your transcription is better than Ancestry :-)
