This collection comprises records of paintings and drawings submitted to the Stationers’ Company for copyright protection between 1862 and 1912. The records are entry forms containing information about the creative works being submitted for copyright protection, with attached samples of those creative works. The details found in the entry forms include:

Description of work: Drawing: Of figure of woman representing Europe seated upon a throne holding in her right hand a sceptre and in her left an orb; her feet upon a cushion and the throne is surrounded by vine with grapes that at the base are interlaced with two bundles of corn. Above her forehead is a shining star, and underneath there is a cross chained to an anchor. (Copy annexed)
