This collection comprises records of paintings and drawings submitted to the Stationers’ Company for copyright protection between 1862 and 1912. The records are entry forms containing information about the creative works being submitted for copyright protection, with attached samples of those creative works. The details found in the entry forms include:

Description of work: Painting Oil size 24 x 16 [landscape] title "Two strings to her bow" representing a landscape with cottage in distance & a wagon of hay with two horses. Two men in the field in the background of roadway. A man & woman returning from work in the foreground and two men and one woman. The woman is holding a hay fork over the back of her neck & either side is a young man. The one on the right has a scythe over shoulder also his coat & the other one on the left carries a gun in one hand, two rabbits in other & a dog walking along.
