This collection comprises records of paintings and drawings submitted to the Stationers’ Company for copyright protection between 1862 and 1912. The records are entry forms containing information about the creative works being submitted for copyright protection, with attached samples of those creative works. The details found in the entry forms include:

Description of work: Drawing of figure of Woman representing Europe seated upon a Throne, holding in her right hand a Sceptre and in her left an orb, her feet are upon a cushion and the Throne is surrounded by wine with grapes and olive branches that, at the base, are interlaced with two bundles of Corn; above her forehead is a shining star and underneath there is a Cross chained to an anchor.
