JoNewell; Succession Books (regimental) 1st Battalion - 1st Foot; Page 44. Soldier 11 is from Corsica. Under Parish I can't decide if it says Saint - Florent or more likely Sari - Solenzara ?

JoNewell; Succession Books (regimental) 1st Battalion - 1 Foot; Page 45. Soldier 1 on the list on page 44 was promoted to Corporal on 1 February 1811.

Soldier 9 Birthplace is Maralin which is the old name for Magheralin.
Soldier 11 from Corsica. I think his birthplace is Ste Fiorenza which is the Corsican name for St Florent.

Soldier 1 birthplace is almost certainly not Mayo - the initial letter is quite different from the M in Montrose under Soldier 5. I cannot find anything approximating to Kaijo in Carmarthenshire, although there is a Caeiago riding centre in he county and also a district called Caeiago in Powys.

There is a village in Carmarthenshire called Caio, variously spelled Caeo or Cayo.
The anglicised spelling could be Kayo. It is near Llandovery.
