ones they left - father and mother back into
their own, Mary and I away up here in
the attic where we have a very pretty room
which we hope to keep for our own as long
as we stay in this house -
We had a call the other night from Mr.
Harding and Mr. Butterfield, and yesterday
South to spend the winter - I did not wish him
to go away without some little token of my love,
he has been our teacher so long I bought and
sent to him The Royal Preacher, by James Hamilton.

Sunday, Nov. 14th
This morning it was snowing, not hard, but in
little fine flakes, which the weather wise thought to
be the beginning of a real, lasting snowstorm - There
prediictions in this case have proved false for
now the sun is shining brightly, and hardly a
[acsAge?] of the snow remains

While we were dressing for meeting, we were
surprised by the arrival of of "cousin John" with
a carry all to Lake us over in - a very easy and
pleasant way of getting there - for my part I should
not care if we were able to keep a horse ourselves
so that we might ride, when, where, and as often
as we choose -
