Mrs. Peter Butler,

Boston.

Dear Madam: -

There appear to be nine headstones in your lot that are without proper foundations under them. The expense of building these and of resetting the stones will be forty five dollars ($45.00). This is not included in the estimate for perpetual care.

Respectfully yours,

Sup't.

#861-S.

Mrs. F.A. Whitney,

Allston, Mass.

Dear Madam: -

The cost of cleaning the headstones with book will be three dollars ($3.00). I would advise that this work be delayed until the oak stains are past.

Respectfully yours,

Sup't.

Mrs. A. H.Savile,

Cambridge, Mass.

Dear Madam: -

The cost of raising and sodding over the small places in the Carruth lot will be three dollars ($3.00). Replanting the myrtle on Dr. Saville's grave in your lot will be twelve dollars ($12.00). Myrtle is so uncertain and at best looks well but a short time each year so that many proprietors are removing it from their lots.

Respectfully yours,

J.W. Lovering Sup't.

John S. Hooper, Esq.,

Boston.

Dear Sir:-

The cost of regrading, enriching and resodding your lot will be forty eight dollars ($48.00). There is too much shade in the lot for new sod to do well and I would suggest that the trees in the lot be removed.

Respectfully yours,

Sup't.

Dear Sirs: -

The small cogs of the Ross lawn mowers are received and four of them are defective. The castings of these mowers have proved very unsatisfactory some of them breaking the first time used, and if any of your representatives are in this vacinity I would be glad to have them see the working of the machines.

Respectfully yours,

Mrs. A.C. Wellington,

Cambridge, Mass.

Dear Madam: -

The cost of replanting myrtle on the grave in your lot marked "Carrie" will be twelve dollars ($12.00). The cost of removing all the myrtle from the lot and sodding over the graves will be eight dollars ($8.00).

It might be possible to have the resodding done before memorial day but the gardener is too busy with the plants to make repairs to the myrtle before that time.

Respectfully yours,

Sup't.

Dear Sir: -

I have received your sketch of bases to be placed on the Blake family lot, but I do not quite understand just what informayou desire and if you will write me I will give the matter prompt attention.

The foundations under the stones now in the lot will not without change admit of a base such as you have sketched.

Mrs. J.E. Chapman,

Grafton, Mass.

Dear Madam: -

Your note is received and will have attention. The sulphur with which the headstone of Dummer R. Chapman was set has eaten into the marble and I am afraid that it cannot be removed.

If any thing more elaborate is wanted a stonecutter could provide it but in that case a plan to be submitted to the committee should be sent here before the work of cutting is be-
