Rand, Edward S., Jr.

(1834-1897) Lawyer and Botanist. Trustee of Mount Auburn from 1860 to 1871, he also served as President pro tem April 1870. He is sometimes referred to as Edward Sprague Rand Jr. or as Edward Sprague Rand III. Secretary of the [[Massachusetts Horticultural Society]]. Not to be confused with his father [[Rand, Edward S.|Edward S. Rand]] (1809-1884). Represented [[Lot 1862]], his wife and children are buried in [[Lot 750]].
