The Treasurer begs leave to lay before
the Committee his annual report on the State of their
finances.

The time fixed for the annual meetings
of the Horticultural Society, as well as other considerations
of conveniences, have induced him to regard each year
as closing on , whether instead of the
the Anniversary of the Consecration of the Cemetery,
and in future his accounts will be made up accordingly.

When the accounts were last rendered () 258 lots had been sold, the amount expended for land
and improvements and appurtenances to the Garden & Cemetery
was $21421.65 and the debt due from the Committee,
including the notes given for land & signed by the
President
of the Horticultural Society, exceeded the assets
by the sum of $4126.93.

By the Trial Balance of
the Treasurer's book accompanying this, it appears that
during the past year the further sum of $3790.23 has
been disbursed for improvements & the deficit in means
to meet the debt reduced to the sum of $2986.16

In both years the Superintendent's salary and
amt paid for labor, plants, implements etc, after deducting
receipts for levelling & ornamenting lots, are embraced in
the general amount against the Garden & Cemetery; and
at the close of each some debts were due to & from the
