To the Honourable Board of Trustees of Mount Auburn Cemetery

Gentleman Having lately been Discharged from the Office of Gate Keeper and Superintendents Clerk at the Cemetery by your Honourable Board without any reasons being ^given to me for my removal from the Office I have held, I feel it my Duty to request of your Honourable Board, the reasons for which I am Discharged from the Office. Never having known a single instance of a Complaint, being entered against me in a formal way to your Board.

By granting this Request you will confer a favour on your Humble Servant, Benj. F. Wyeth Cambridge March 30th 1857

To the Honourable Board of Trustees of Mount Auburn Cemeatery. Gentlemen, We the undersigned Proprietors of Mount Auburn Cemetery would respectfully request that the above Petition of Mr. B. F. Wyeth be granted. So far as we have been Informed -over-

and our own Observation has been, we have never seen any Just cause for his Removal. And we think it is a Duty the Trustees owe to Mr. Wyeth to give him the Reasons for which he was Discharged.
