Dear Sir

I have sent your gates to W^m
Blake & Co. on Charles St corner of Allen St Boston, who I
think will be most successful in repairing your gates, as
they are accustomed to that class of work.

After looking them over, M^r Blake found that it would
be almost impossible to restore them completely, and sent for
me to come & see them. I went with two of our Trustees and
after talking with M^r Blake, they decided that I have
best inform you of the fact, and request you to see
Mr Blake & make such arrangements as you saw fit.

These trustees propose to offer a reward of $100⁰⁰ for the
arrest & conviction of the parties concerned in the removal
& injury of the gates, which out to be a sufficient induce-
ment I should think to any parties in possession of any
information to come forward, & I sincerely hope that we
may succeed in punishing the guilty parties.
