A. A. Barker Esq
Supt of Interments

Dear Sir

Mr. McArthur will take
charge of the general work in Cemetery on and after
.

I have notified him to allow S. W. Hutchings 1/2 a
day for every Sunday morning he is at gate, and
that G. E. S. Hutchings and Mulvy Wailes be your
regular men & would be allowed all their time
when present (cost per day) also that they would take their
turn at being present on Sunday & could be [alieved?]
for it.

In case you need a second man on Sundays I expect
you to keep one, only I should prefer as Hutchings &
Mulvey are among the highest paid, not to pick out
the most expensive men if possible.
This will give you two men on every wet day & one man on
Sundays. Even if there has no notice been given of any
funeral.

Yrs truly
J. W. Lovering
