Geo. A. Skinner Esq

Dear Sir

Your favor of recd
I find you ordered Top dressing of manure in
. and Col. Folsom then still in office
had super-phosphate put on, tho' why the
order was not carried out exactly I do not know.

In September I received your order to top dress
with manure, which has been done.

As the first top dressing order was done
with superphosphate instead of manure (as
ordered) you need not pay it. If you
think the charge an unfair one & I
will send the Treasurer a copy of this
letter.

Respectfully
J.W. Lovering
Supt.

Shall be happy to receive your order for 1874.

Mr. H.F. Edes

Dear Sir:

Your letter of the 12th inst
is received. The myrtle you speak of
was planted when you ordered it
and the bill I enclose with this.
By the wording of your letter I judge
you wish the Corporation to take care
of the lot, but you do not wish
plants or top dressing. I hold
the letter as an order to that effect.
If I am in error, that is if you
do not wish the care taken
please countermand the same

Very Respectfully
James W Lovering
