Dear Sir

I have notified
Mr. Ross to deliver us no
more sods either of Couch Grass
or Goose Grass. I want you to
make the Foreman of the Sodding
[gauy?] understand that if bad
sods are delivered he is not to
use them, but to place them on
the avenue & notify me. I shall
hold him personally responsible
for using no sods which ought
not to be used

Do not deliver

Couch or ^^Goose Grass in them. They
will not answer for us I am
satisfied & I have directed
Mr Barker to have no more put
down.

I want a good pasture sod, if
you can get it, if not, please
see me before you deliver any
more.
