Dear Sir

I send you below a few figures
in regard to the cost of cleaning Avenues &c.

(Estimate)

Cost of removing rubbish & leaves every Spring
$911.12 on 4240 lots, April 1873, say pr lot 21 1/2 cts

Cost of sweeping & weeding Avenues thru the
year $1336.50 of which one half should be
charged to cleaning up after gardeners &c.

say	$668.25
	1747.20	Cost of removing rubbish & grass from Avenues (144 days as desired)
[total]	$2415.45

on 3500 lots (that being the number
it is estimated that work is done on, which makes
it necessary to remove any rubbish from Avenues)

say pr lot	69 1/2 cts
[total]	91 cts

(& adding 10% making 99 cts^^1.00;) from which I estimate that $1.00
pr permit is little enough when the difficulty of collection
