To the Superintendent of the Cemetery.

Sir,

The By-laws of this Corporation
make it the duty of the Committee on Regulations and Records
of Interments "to see that the laws of the Commwealth &c.
those of the Cemetery relating to Interment are complied with:"
and they further provide "that no interment shall be made
until such a permit as may be required by the laws of the Common-
wealth, or of the City or town from which the deceased may be brought,
together with an order from the proprietor of the lot in which the
interment is to be made, or his legal representation shall have
been presented at the Gate, nor until the fees shall have been
paid".

The Trustees having voted "that the Superintendent, under the
direction of the Committee on Interments, be directed to exclude from
the privileges of the Cemetery any undertaker, in his official capacity, who
shall have been reported as delinquent in complying with the regulations
relating to Interments".

And it appearing Lewis Jones, an undertaker,
of Boston, has repeatedly violated the foregoing by-law, you will
notify the said Jones that for another violation he will be immediately
excluded from the Cemetery, in his official capacity, and particularly require, in
his case, that he shall not pass the Gate with a funeral until the proper papers are
furnished.
